It saddens me to learn that one of Manchester United's greatest players in recent times have left for Spanish giants Real Madrid, a competitor in the Champions' League. He is one of Manchester United's most prolific scorers but alas, he no longer has a place in Alex Ferguson's plan to bring glory back to Old Trafford.
While he has completed a transfer, I still would want to wish him well & also success in the Primera Liga. All of us at Old trafford will miss you.
Here is van Nistelrooy with his new Real Madrid jersey. Sob sob. How I wish you were wearing Red again.
Oh yah, happy birthday meowie24.

Monopoly (FIFA World Cup 2006 Edition)
It will be my 26th birthday soon & I would like to give shout outs to the following people who have remembered my birthday.
sf / klim/ ck / cheeky / se7en / 8038 / mao mao / 0812 / yenchua
& all others whom I might not have mentioned but always remembered fondly deep in my heart.Yes, it is still beating within my chest cavity rather than locked up in some chest like Mr Sotong from Pirates of the CoffeeBean (NBCB, how come today so lame?)
Today I received one of the best presents I have ever received. The limited FIFA World Cup 2006 Edition. Could not bear to open it up to play so I will let it be displayed in my room for a while more before we have a little game of Monopoly.
I might post an entry on all the limited editions of Monopoly soon, if I find the time & energy.
Do not pass "GO", do not collect SGD$200!!!

PSP' Game (DJ Max Portable)
Even though the World Cup 2006 has ended, my bioclock is still in reverse mode & now I'm officially a vampire. Anyway was looking thru YouTude videos (again!!!???) when I came across this video of some guy playing the portable version of those Dance Dance Revolution games (now got different varients like drums & guitars).
DJ Max Portable
The speed at which he presses the buttons looks pretty insane to me!!! I can never reach this speed of reaction.
Check out his other videos. There are 2 nos more of the same guy showing some wicked finger-work.
Anyway, school is starting soon in another week's time. Can't wait to go back to school because I have been rotting too long at home. Although I am not staying in hall anymore, I guess I am already accustomed to living in Tampines. Now I need to get used to the travelling & waking up early in the morning to take the tube.
Ja neh!!!

My deepest condolences 02
It seems like there has been more passing ons than creation of life in recent times. Scoopy has been put to sleep because of an enlarged heart which is a potentially fatal condition. He has been having breathing difficulties & lack of energy, so under the recommendation of the vet, he has passed on this monring.
We will miss him, as he has been with the Yew family for over a decade.
All dogs go to heaven. I'm sure Scoopy is in a better place now.
Do not feel sad because he is no longer with us, but celebrate life because he has given us 14 years of his life, which multiplied by 7 is around 98 human years. That is a lot fo time.
Goodbye Scoopy, you will always be in our hearts.

Free email with 30gb storage
I was surfing the net when I decided to look up yahoo email & Gmail in Wikipedia. As I was cross referencing articles, at the bottom of one of the articles was a website that was offering 30 gigabytes of storage which is more than enough for 99.99999% of the users!!! Such a deal that is too good to be true, I gave it a shot.
Registered myself & now it is operational.
I do not really like the interface & the way it interacts with the user.
Any comments from those willing to try it out?
Ja neh!!!

My deepest condolences 01
As I was having supper with sf & klim (I had no appetite so I just drank a can of Coke), Bervin called to inform me that a friend of ours had passed on. He apparently had a fall & was in a coma. He did not wake up & the plug was pulled. His organs will be removed for transplant tomorrow morning & the wake will follow soon after.
It got me thinking, that we are at the phase where we attend funerals of those we love & celebrate life when our peers have children. It was just a week ago when I went to Mount Alvernia to take a look @ baby Bryan, now I have to attend the wake of a friend of mine. This emotional see saw is not what I am accustomed to & I pray that the family will find the peace & closure they seek.
He never got a chance to fully live his life, or leave behind instructions. We did not have to chance to iron out our differences or say our last goodbyes. It is a sad day for all of us who knew him personally. Life is really too short to bear grudges, but it is easier said than done. So many times I had wish upon my enemies a fate worse than death itself, but when it comes, I want to turn back the clock & see where we had gone wrong.
I have a few girlfriends in the past, & sometimes I wonder how their lives have turned out. The though of never seeing them again if whoever leaves this world first scares me. The same applied to friends whom I have crossed paths with. What about our family?
Facing death is easier than losing someone we care for, or someone whom we once cared for. This is only my opinion.
I pray that everybody is healthy & will live their life to the fullest.
Amen.

The One who secretly takes kiddy rides
Wah, so big liao still want to sit kok-kok-beh ah??? Muahahahaha!!!
I believe there is a child in everyone of us, so do not suppress it. Let it out once in a while, so we can maintain our sanity in this dog-eat-dog world.
It used to cost 20 cents per ride, now I guess it could be up to 2 sgd!!! 1000% inflation in 20 - 24 years!!! If only our salaries could increase on par with inflation.
Anyone has some coins for my ride?

Welcome to the world, Bryan!!!
Welcome Bryan Tay!!! Heard from Pris herself that she has given birth. Made my way down Mount Alvernia Hospital the same evening to see the baby. Both mother & child look great. Suddenly everyone starts getting all sentimental & asking each other when they getting married or when they plan to have a child.
The baby boy, look how peaceful he is, when he is sleeping. I bet when he wakes up & is hungry or needs a change of diapers, you will definitely not find him cute anymore. He seems so small, so defenseless, so vulnerable, just like how it was when you & I were born.
Details of the baby. Quite heavy hor? All my friends want to buy 4D from the combination of numbers like his weight & length, etc etc. Maybe Bryan will bring you good luck.
Grow up strong & fearless Bryan, for this is a fearsome world we live in. Only the fittest will survive. Mummy & Daddy will do their best to give you all the love you need to be a kind & caring person, the knowledge for you to get around in this world & protect you from harm & danger.
Muacks!!!

Dsgraced Zidane wins Golden Ball award
Personally I feel that there are more deserving players who should get the award instead of someone who lost his cool for no apparent reason. No matter what happened on the pitch, there was absolutely no reason to react the way he did, especially when he is the captain of the France team, playing in front of so many people, including a live audience around the world. He must set a good example & be a role model for the team members as well as the fans who look up to him.
Brazil's Ronaldo was under trememdous pressure n scrutiny but he let his feet to the talking, not his very round head. England's bad boy Wayne Rooney didn't go bursting other player's balls when he was red carded for his accidental stomp on I-have-forgotten-his-name's family jewels. Italy's captain, Cannavaro was a shining example of how a true leader should play. He was rock solid in defense & a workaholic. Do you see him laying a hand on anybody after an unfair challenge? There was no challenge in Zidane's case, & I felt that he did it because he had nothing to lose since it was clear France was not going to win the World Cup this time. An utterly sore loser. No matter what were his merits in the past, no matter how well he controls the ball with his feet, all that counts for nothing if he does not have the mental tenacity to flourish under immense pressure.
He even has the cheek to put the blame for his violent behavoir on Materazzi insulting him. Instead of the Golden Ball, I would award him a giant L-plate, those you use when you are learning how to drive.
L for loser.
For those who disagree with my comments, I know you have a right to your own opinion, but so do I. If you feel I have insulted your idol, do not read my blog from now onwards because I will speak my mind than be a hypocrite like you.

David Beckham steps down as England captain
Here is the YouTube video of David Bechkam's press conference where he announce his intention to hand over the Captain's armband to another English player. A sad moment for me, personally, but I do believe in the constant renewal of leadership at every level, especially the top management.
Take care, David.

Goodbye Corellian
All good things must come to an end & it's really a sad occasion as the pub I frequent decided to take a break as the landlord wanted to increase the rental of the place. It's not easy for a pub to survive in the fickle pubbing & clubbing scene, so it ate into the bottom line, & it's time to look for a new location.
I've been going to this pub for over a year now, the first time being meowie24's 302 class outing. At the end of the outing, they deicded to have some drinks over in Mohd Sultan, & this is how I got to know this place.
The people are friendly here & it's cosy. I've come to know the shareholders & the waitresses that work here too. I remember Madeline (Maddy as she prefers), a nice, tanned, sport looking girl who is more "kan tang" than "peng tang". There's also Josephine, Sylvia (I think, who quitted a while before the landlord wanted more money) & the rest whom are nice enough to chat with me when I'm there alone.
During the World Cup, the pub allowed regulars & insiders to stay behind to watch the 0300hrs matches of the first round even though they were not allowed to by the terms & conditions of their license. It was my first time staying in a pub from 2000 till 0500hrs, for a few nights in a row. Some even bought along safari beds to make themselves more comfortable!!!
Kurt told me they will be looking for a place during the 2-month long Hungry Ghost Festival & will keep me in contact about their new location. Even though this goodbye is not permanent, but still, it hurts when good company has to part, just like in any relationship, not necessarily between a boy & a girl.
So in the meantime, I have to watch soccer matches at coffeeshops & Changi Village. These places don't really do a good job of filling up the void in my heart. Change is inevitable, so I guess I have to ride the waves or get washed away by them.
Thank you Correlian, for you have given me so many happy memories, so many good times. I celebrated my birthday there once too, & both meowie24 & I got cheesecakes from 7-11 after Linus found out it was our birthday!!! So sweet right???
It's hard to fight back the tears, but I'll hold them in for a little longer, just in case. Tears are precious, use them wisely.
Goodbye Correlian.
