A bull in a Chinatown shop

Michelle & I decided to join her mother & Melissa who wanted to go to Chinatown to take a look at the place & to do some new year shopping. We had dinner at some hawker center that was renovated recently. The place was very crowded & there was a long wait just to get a table, let alone buy food. Every stall seems to have a long queue snaking around the area in front of the respective stalls & by the timewe managed to all sit down & eat, we were already famished & tired.

Melissa is the girl in the picture wearing a black blouse & demin shorts & her mummy is the lady in pink. She looks almost at home because the pink matches the red surroundings.

After dinner, we walked around the upper storeys to look at clothes for Melissa. Michelle doesn't seem interested as she had already set her sights on a pair of Levi's jeans. After a fruitless walk around, we went back downstairs into the open air area where there were stalls selling ornaments, traditional dried food like "lup cheong" & the poor salted duck.

We arrived at this shops selling nothing but traditional ornaments with all sorts of auspicious sayings. The shop wasn't too crowded but it was bright red everywhere!!!

Picture of a section of one of the walls in the shop. Wonder which one should I get for my hostel room or home in Tampines. Hmmm...

Ja neh!!!
